Other useful bits...
KitchenAid 7-qt Pro Line stand mixer
A Black & Decker food processor that I can't seem to murder
A couple of immersion blenders, one a "consumer" model & the other a "high end" Italian thing. Yes, the Italian one is a bit better, but only marginally
Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus 8-qt + accessories like egg-bite & egg holders
All-Clad pots & pans, along with some cast iron...everything from 7" Skookie pans to 8.5qt Dutch ovens
Weber GBS griddle, pizza stone, and wok
Knives range from Mercer to F. Dick to "You spent how much for one knife? One knife?!" LOL
KitchenAid KSM7586PCA 7-Quart Pro Line Stand Mixer Candy Apple Red
I've only had this one for about a year...needed to replace one that went walkabout in a divorce and got tired of the craptastic mixer I was trying to use. LOL
Got this one not only for the size that I probably never max out...but also because of the robust DC motor and metal gears. It came down to that one or a commercial series. The internals appear to be the same but the commercial ones are 8 qt...and more expemsive...so I didn't really think I would be gaining anything. Yeah, they're also NSF certified...but that's not a deal breaker for my home use.

If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I have a Sunbeam Mixmaster that is actually 80 years old and still functional - it was my grandmother’s, and purchased before WW2. It works, and has seen many decades of use, but is on a shelf as we are now using a Kitchenaide my mother in law gave us a few years ago. Pretty sure my grandmother had a meat grinder for it, but it got lost over the years after she passed (1986). The Kitchenaide seems well built and is what I would go with.
Haha Jim White it’s actually on a shelf in the laundry room. The Kitchenaide lives in the pantry. My wife doesn’t like all the appliances out on the counter when not in use.
We have used a previous model of this mixer for over 15 years. It was branded Electrolux for years but has now changed names. It is a bit spendy but can't be beat for bread dough. We have run a ton through ours. Really well thought out and kind of hypnotizing to watch. https://pleasanthillgrain.com/ankars...-kitchen-mixer

Not sure if you have purchased one yet or not. My wife bought me a KA pro series 600 Refurbished from the KA website. for like 279?? I can link the refurbished link for you if you would like me too?
Thanks, but I decided on the Artisan. Gonna make another batch of bread with it tomorrow! I thought hard about the upgrade and refurbished just like you got. It was a close decision, but they had a great price on the new Artisan. After seeing your post and watching a recorded episode of Chopped later that evening, I decided that your model and color is what they use on the show.
