Induction compatible cookware doesn’t have to be expensive to be good. We have a kitchen full of All-Clad, yet … when it’s time to boil a pot of water, out comes THIS little “treasure” found on Amazon. Works great and didn’t break the bank (we have the 5 qt.).
You're totally right. I have the full set of these, well 7-piece with 2-, 3- and 8-quart and a 10" frying pan. They work great. Honestly seldom if ever use the frying pain, I don't really like frying on stainless - supposedly 'non-stick' but this has never been even remotely non-stick in my experience. But the pots and lids are quite good and solid. That set is definitely worth the money if you're looking to not spend a gazillion bucks on stainless. Here's the set I have:
