Why does my air fryer keep randomly turning on?!

Oh. Oh, I see. Never mind.

(What is funny is that the manual makes a big deal that the device can't be inadvertently turned on. They are speaking regards to the app cannot turn it on and it must be turned on manually from the panel. I don't think they envisioned this situation)

You should send that pic to the manufacturer with the message "Cant be inadvertently turned on? Nice Try"

Or "Can't be inadvertently turned on? [insert cat's name] would like a word."

Every now and then my recliner moves reclines on it's own. (Dog leans on the buttons on the side.)

Good thing it's not brown like a box.

Last night she initiated the Wifi configuration procedure. Sigh.

I guess this is partially my fault for not realizing the fun a top-mounted touch panel would present.

Reminds me of the time Dell made their Dimension line of desktops with the power button on the top of the case. I bought one. Yeah, that was dumb, too.

Maybe they already fixed it? Mine (bought six months ago) has the buttons on the nearly vertical front panel, but I know Cosori has lots of different models.

You may be right. Looking at their line up, yours may be the successor to my model.

Ours doesn’t have the top buttons for an easy cat turn on, but then again we don’t have a cat. We don’t use ours often, so we keep it unplugged. That would keep yopu from random cat turn ons.

Might not be a bad idea. I've tripped a breaker a few times by inadvertently running the microwave, air fryer, and coffee maker all at the same time.

Bit of advice: If that thing is ever unplugged and comes on, GET OUT of the HOUSE.

            This is extremely sound advice.

This is why we keep the toaster, can opener, toaster oven, and the air fryer unplugged until we're ready to use them...

And here I had something in mind like the scene from Close Encounters, when the whole kitchen goes nuts...

I was more thinking Poltergeist when I read the title.

<<--------------- It took some persuasion, but this one knew to stay off the kitchen counter.

While I was a full time bureaucrat, "herding cats" was the go-to metaphor...

Poltergeist. Whatever you do, stay the hell away from the light!

Well, one solution would be... no cat on the counters! Or the tables... Just saying... I had a cat I broke of that REAL quick about 35 years ago... At least it stopped getting up there when we were home. No wifi cameras to watch remotely back then...

….this may be impractical. I have 22 of them.

Amen! I love cats,(we had one and trained her to stay off the counters, tables and furniture), but the idea of one scratching around in a litter box and hopping onto a counter where food is being prepped grosses me out. Full Disclaimer: I'm something of a germaphobe...

Ok, so I'm a no electrical skills person, although I've seen electrical injuries many times. Have a healthy respect, as I've said before. My first advice is unplug the thing when not using. I do that with my air fryer, as it gets so hot I don't want to take chances.

That’s my advice too. I unplug my air fryer and most other appliances, and put them away in a cabinet or some shelves I put up in the laundry room.
