Breville Air Fryer Pro Toaster Oven #2 - Question for all toaster oven users

So after 7 years of using my toaster oven at LEAST once a day, it crossed the appliance rainbow bridge. Or should I say was murdered. The door had begun to stick pretty bad and I asked BF to check it out, thinking maybe it just needed to be reseated. Cool…. right? Well, bless his heart (read with all the sarcasm you can), he thought he might as well give it a deep clean/detail. And broke two of the heating elements. He said he could fix them and I said no. Hell no. I am now the proud mama of a new one. It’s “burning off” as we speak.

Question: do you line your toaster oven crumb tray with foil? The manual says don’t as it could mess up the heating elements.

Great, however if your new oven doesn’t have an NSF label on it you are going to lose that Grade A rating placard.🙂 And, I would not line with foil if the instructions say don’t.

I don’t have a commercial kitchen…. So no NSF required. Funny, you noticed the A. That’s how they grade restaurants in LA County. OC is pass/fail. There was an online test to grade your own kitchen. I did the test honestly and diligently. If memory serves, I scored a 93. No thermometer in the fridge and I can’t remember the other violation. I turned in the report and they sent me the fridge magnet, 🤓

We have the same one. It's a great cooker! And no, we do not line it with anything.

I wouldn’t use foil if the instructions say not to. Be easy on the BF, he was trying! It’s complicated to hold a class A man card these days.

He’s gonna be just fine! I was disappointed, but it certainly wasn’t a deal breaker 💕

No foil in mine. Just pop it out and 🧽 occasionally. Maybe save the good heat elements for the next BF fix 🤔😁

You’ve been hanging out with too many guys lately. The “We don’t need no stinking instructions” attitude is rubbing off.

Ninja 10 function oven. Yes my wife lines with foil. I've never opened the manual so I don't know what it says. I'll dig it out as now I'm curious. It won't matter. If it says don't , I'll share but as I said it won't matter. Out and fairness, this and our previous(s) over the years have always been lined. I can't say it been an issue.

Same, I’ve lined the crumb tray all the time…

I have the Breville Smart Toaster Air fryer, which is one step down from your new one. It replaced our previous Breville Toaster Oven that did not have the air fryer function. Never lined the crumb tray as it never required more than a wipe off with a paper towel.

Nice purchase! Can't go wrong with Breville. Hope you got a good deal on it.

We bought a Breville Compact Loaf bread maker a few months ago and we love it.

Nope, do not line mine. It isn't hard to clean when needed.
