My New Meat Grinder - Retired the Old KitchenAid

My 35 year old plastic KitchenAid meat grinder has served me well over the years,
    but it's time had come.
It had 2 cracks in the housing and it always wobbled and just wasn't useful anymore.

So I bought a new STX Turbo 3000 for around $160.
Just got done using it for the first time and I love it!!

I ground, froze and packaged 2 1/2 lbs of chuck roast and turned it into 9 burgers.
Totally done in 1 hour flat (includes cleaning everything).

    I be a happy camper!

Totally agree. I thought my KA did a good job grinding until I got a dedicated grinder. Huge difference! Congrats! B

It is customary around these parts to provide photographic evidence of any and all, new cookers or cooker related equipment….congrats anyway!

For the price, I couldn't justify buying anything that cost more money.
It's not like I grind 50 pounds of pork and beef a day.

It is a little noisy, but otherwise it works very well.
Easy to use and easy to clean.
They say not to put any of the actual meat grinding parts in the dishwasher, but not a big deal.
The parts are polished aluminum and are not anodized.
I still don't see why I couldn't use Dawn Gel for Dishwashers...

Nice! It’s always great to have quality tools. And thanks for the photo! Don’t have that brand in Sweden.
