You're going to love that Anova! I've had the same model for a couple of years and, while I can control it over Bluetooth or WiFi using the app, I rarely (if ever) bother. The on board controls are so simple and effective that I just haven't felt much need to monitor or control it remotely.

You must have been good this year! I received one from the wife at Christmas. Doing a lot of experimenting, test cooks, it's a fun game to play. yesterdays lunch was chicken tenders, vac packed with a kinda salty rub, and pepper, 2 hours at 145, nice, juicy, lesson learned, ya don't need as much rub as you do on beef and pork. found some good tips on here. have fun.
