My first impression is great idea but the searing box leaves me with too many questions; like what’s it made from, how thick a gage, how hot is the temp at the grate, etc.

i did kinda like the foam SV box, I wouldn’t mind having one of those !!

Agreed, if you have a grill or stove and a cast iron pan, you're all set. Seems like a a lot of work to sear a couple of steaks. Maybe they will get some feedback similar to this discussion and separate the 2 buy either or both. Still won't be cheap.

I reached out to the founder on FB. You will be able to purchase separate or as a package. Price is not available yet. When it launches on Kickstarter in about a month price will be there.
