I was grillin' a large chicken breast for us the other night when I noticed I had forgotten to put the DnG back before closing the lid. I normally only take it out to use the gas assist to light charcoal. So anyway, it was cruzin' along at 440* dome temp when I noticed, and had been holding steady there for a while. Just for fun I decided to lift the grate enough to put the DnG back. That forces the incoming air through the SnS and I figured that should raise the temp a bit, but how much? Temp went up to 485* dome temp and held there. Has anyone else tried this and did you get similar results?

The skin was crunchy like a potato chip, but it was still very tender and juicy.

Hasselback baked potato with butter, cheese, and bacon.

Added some Brussels sprouts baked in bacon grease to round out the meal.
