David Parrish needs to figure out same day delivery. I'm out here on the porch waiting for my SnS XL to be delivered. Yes, I know Fedex is scheduled to deliver on Friday but I'm hoping they change their mind and deliver today (Thursday)......

Hopefully the FAA will be able to keep them from peeking in your bedroom windows.🙈 I see them cruising the beach all the time. Some pervert is probably checking out the babes from his basement.🤔
I just got my sns XL for the 26.75" kettle! Cooked up 20 burgers, 12 hotdogs, and 6lbs of marinaded chicken breast tenderloins this past weekend as my first ever cook on anything other than a gasser.
One thing ill say is I only used 1.5 chimneys of briquettes total and in hindsight I should have used more to create a larger sear zone than the XL only. Took ages with how much I was cooking but still turned out great!

Reason: iPhone typo
* - Weber 26.75" OTG
* - Weber 22.5" Premium cloaked in Crimson
* - Slow 'N Sear
* - Smoke E-Z - 26.75" (The Grain Silo)
* - Lodge Sportsman Grill
* - Weber Rapid Fire Chimney Starter
* - Thermoworks ThermoPop
* - Thermoworks Mk4
* - Thermoworks Dot
* - iGrill2 - 4 probes
* - Favorite Beer - the cold one in my hand (craft beers of all flavors; haven't had a blue yummy in over 6 years) my tastes change with the season so it is difficult to name just a couple. However, I will occasionally have a vanilla porter float in the summer (Empyrean Vanilla Porter w/a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream) as I usually drink stouts & porters in the colder months, pale ales & IPAs in the warmer months. I have to add Not Your Father's Root Beer to beers I use for floats.
* - Booze - I don't really have a favorite, but lean towards single malt Scotch & Irish whiskey
* - Wines - Reds: mainly the heavy stuff mixed in with the occasional pinot noir ( I have yet to meet a malbec I didn't like); Whites: German & Nebraska (hey, I have to support the home team)
* - Favorite Spice outlets - Volcanic Peppers - Bellevue, NE
* - Current butchers: Cure - Ft. Calhoun
pknj I'd buy 2 sets of 26/SnS before I look at the Summit.
Back to your question, I used my original SnS on the 26 and I truly think that this is the best and most versatile set up.
It still amazes me how insanely efficient the original is with the 26. Then when I bought a 22 because I thought I needed one, the SnS took it to another level. The SnS XL is on my list to Santa.
Craigar You know!! I was actually thinking of getting the regular SnS for the 26. I didn't want to lose too much real estate. Looking at the dimensions and it's not that much bigger.

HouseHomey Do you have no bottom grate in your SnS just open to the charcoal grate? That's the Original for the 22 only. If you have the bottom grate then you'll just have to measure, the 22 (Original & Plus) is 21" long at the water reservoir, the XL is almost 24" and obviously won't fit in the 22.
Ahhh.... mine is open on the bottom. Well, I guess I need more gear. I'm a dope. I wasn't poking around the adrenaline bbq site and dint catch the difference. Thank you
Any plans for an actual SnS for the Jumbo Joe? I know about the basket. David Parrish
Nope. Last thing I want is someone picking up a JJ while it has a reservoir of boiling water in it that's long on one edge and super thin on the other. Recipe for crispy skin... human, not chicken!

There will be someone somewhere who'll do that, guaranteed! They'll even spill their own water pan by doing that, but at least it's not yours.
I remember a "Far Side" comic panel where God has a shaker like we use for rubs, and it's labeled "Jerks", and he's shaking it over the planet and saying "And just to keep things interesting ..."!
