How to tell the difference between a weed and a flower.

A flower is something you grow from a seed, or a tiny pot. It requires much fertilizer and water. In all likelihood, no matter how much care it is given, it dies anyway.

A weed is something that grows all by itself. It can grow out of the dirt, out of asphalt, or even concrete. You never water it, but spray it with things like RoundUp that are supposed to kill it. No matter what you do, it grows back.

Weeds are native to wherever you are. Flowers are weeds from somewhere else on Earth. I wonder where we could live that dandelions would die?

I never saw any dandelions in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bharain or Iraq when I was there.

But you don't need a passport to get to the Imperial Sand Dunes (Algodones Dunes). It's along I-8 on the way from Phoenix to San Diego (just into California). It's nothing but sand. Not even any weeds.

That is a good one! This one works even better.

Danjohnston949 it is called a Grid Cleaner – V-Notch and you can get it a Big Green Egg dealer. You can locate a dealer near you by going onto the Big Green Egg website or you could Google it and see if someone ships.

You can get it for less $ from the manufacturer. It's called a Billy Bar.

I used to call that a dandelion digger. Now I call it a grill scraper.

          Hi Dan:

Have you seen this one? It was next to the mesquite at the Costco picture I showed with the $12.99 bag of mesquite

It's a soft wooden paddle that shapes itself to your grill.

          Best regards,
          Jim

I have a left over piece of kiln dried oak plank that I'm going to make one of these out of. Will post a pic when it's done.

I have one, too. I bought is specifically for the grooved side of the Grill-grates. It works like a charm.

I had some time so I knocked out the basic grill scraper board. 16"x4.5" with the lanyard hole. I'll test it out on the next hot grill.

Wadded up aluminum foil works well, too. It also conforms to the configuration of the grill.

Danjohnston949 Dan, I usually use it while the grill is cold or work very quickly. If grill heat is too great, you could hold it with tongs or wear a heat resistant glove.
