Found exactly what I wanted under the Father's Day tree

Just what I was hoping for - a Slow n Sear! Now the only question is what I'm going to break it in with tomorrow evening. I have to work most of the day, so unfortunately no time for a trial run or for a long cook. It'll probably end up being reverse sear steak or pork tenderloin.

Do I understand correctly that I don't need to worry about filling the water reservoir for shorter reverse sear cooks?

Congrats and no you don't need water for reverse sear

Agreed. I only use water when I'm cooking low and slow for a long time (think ribs or longer). For short reverse sear cooks or 325 F and above cooks I don't fool with it.

Congrats on the SnS. There's going to be some good eating at your house tomorrow! If you would, post some photos of your steak or pork tenderloin.

First run went pretty well. I will need to perfect my temperatures using the SnS, but I can already tell how much this is going to help my grilling game. fuzzydaddy, I actually remembered to get some good process photos!

Wow, that's a beautiful cook. I have got to get more neighbors cooking like you did so I can invite myself over when I smell the sweet aromas.
