    First ribeye with kettle/SNS

    First ribeye with kettle and SNS. Previous steak cooks have been with tri-tip. Was down to the last bite before I remembered to take a photo. Had some trouble with flare ups during the sear but pleased with the overall results. Easiest indirect temp control for reverse sear I've had with a ribeye.

    Fantastic job! I recommend keeping a spray bottle of water nearby for those flare ups. I use a very fine mist and it works great. That setup is made for reverse searing, and like you I found it to be the easiest way to cook a great steak.

      Thanks, martybartram! Unfortunately, the spray bottle wasn't nearby. I also didn't trim enough fat before I put the steaks on the grill. The flare ups didn't ruin the steaks, just had to scramble to keep dodging the flames.
