S&S came today. Weber kettle makes more sense now.
Just sayin'. It looks pretty straightforward and easy to use, even if I've never used a kettle grill/smoker before. In fact, the entire unit just makes more sense with a Slow & Sear in it.
I would recommend Adrenaline/S&S go into negotiations with Weber to market these things. There are millions to be made! (Heehee!)

Thanks Mosca. As a fellow BGE owner I'm confident you're going to love the versatility the BGE and kettle/SnS provides.
We gonna see some pics this weekend?
That's going to be a tough one, I hope so.
We usually go to the in-laws for Memorial Day, but they are coming home from vacation on Saturday and might be kinda washed out.
We can't have them over because the house looks like crap, because I work 12 hour days and MJ has been sick.
One possible solution is that I make something that can be transported, like brisket or pulled pork, and take it over to their house, but they might not want to do that, I don't know until I talk to Karen, but they are out of the country so I can't find out until Saturday night.
With MJ coming right out of chemo, she won't want anything, except maybe soup and plain spaghetti, or maybe scrambled eggs. So anything I actually make for myself, will be for myself.
That is one hell of an idea, Breadhead. Should it come to that, I may even choose a porterhouse instead. Mix up a little Peter Luger sauce, and that would be some doggone good dining.
Mosca, I think if you Pay close attention to the ABC.Com Web Site particularly on Lighting Techniques, Vent Control for the Weber, In particular to put
the Top Vent on the Weber Lid opposite of the S 'n S and cover your coal Grate wall to wall with Foil from the Water Resevoir to the edges of the Kettle! This Forces all the air from the Bottom Vents up through the Coals! I just found it more convenient to have my Furnace Man cut a Piece of 20 Ga. SS into +17 1/2" Dia Circle and Shear 4 1/2" from one edge to better fit the S 'n S! Best regards to the Mrs., MJ, I save her first name until we have been
Properly Introduced, Have a Great Memorial Day!
