    Easter MCS.. The Bunny Strikes.

Got caught up this evening. Always wanted a pizza oven for the Kettle. This seems reasonable and comes with all you would need including rotisserie. Can return if not happy. Oh, and this slicer fell into the cart, blame it on gravity.

So you don't see the screen capture? I'm a dummy. I'll try figure it out, maybe. Worst case when it arrives Tuesday I'll share.
Its is a Victorinox 12 inch slicing knife and a pizza oven for the Kettle.

Stuff just arrived. Knife looks great, nice balance. The Kettle Pizza Oven needs some assembly. Will have done by the weekend, going places next couple of days. Have M.H.'s Neopolitian dough resting till the A.M. Will divide and store as suggested. Expect to do a pie this weekend. For a retired putz, I got alotta stuff on the plate this week. And I need to make some kind of roast to check out the knife. Freezer dive in the not to distant future.

I'll get some pictures sometime in the next few days.

Well, got it together this afternoon. A couple of pictures. Plan on doing 1 Friday. Couldn't find wood splits. But I have chunks. Figured a few lined up overall charcoal would work. Question, what type of wood works well with pizza? Being a 1st for me inquiring minds want to know. TIA

I like the thermometer placement. My Easter bunny only left me round chocolates that stained my grin.

Looks great! Glad it arrived without damage. My son had to send one back a few weeks ago because it was bent and too damaged to fit on his Performer. I love my roti on the kettle. Enjoy.

Did a pizza tonight on the Pizza Oven/Kettle.. I won't embarrass myself with pictures. Had a hard time forming an 8 inch pie. More like 8 by 5 so an oval. No problem with that as long it's thin and texture to my liking, not. I used sliced Mozzarella cheese like a 1/4" thick. Too thick one piece slid off. Jar sauce and pepperoni. Taste was the highlight just too thick for my liking. . Used Hickory as wood. Need practice getting pie from peel to stone and visa versa. Could be shape and thickness that assisted in my struggle.

So, guess what I'm doing for lunch. Yep, another stab at it. Hope it's worthy of sharing. Sunday putting a 4# chicken rubbed with M.H's poultry rub on the Rotisserie. I've done that b4 on the Genesis so it should be a bit smoother cook.

This may be helpful in shaping the dough:
