    NTD - New Toy/Tool Day

I was tired of being left out of the vortex wings craze so, I bought Vortex Mini for my Smokey Joe, which is the only kettle-ish device I own.

I was left out too, till a few months ago. I love it David. And it’s not just for wings. But that’s what it’s best known for. I also reverse sear steaks with it. Just push it to the back of my kettle. Can’t wait to see your first wings cook. Congrats.

I use my vortex a lot, its one of my favorite accessories. Just some advice - it will destroy your grates. If you find yourself using it a lot, I'd invest in the weber gbs grates that have the center section that comes out.

Thanks, but I don't think they have such a grate for the Smokey Joe.

I use one on my 18” kettle. It is versatile for other cooks, too.
