I’ve been researching knife sets recently and am strongly considering a Gunter Wilhelm Lightning Procut set. I know meathead is high on them. My one concern is some reviews on Amazon aren’t glowing and talk about broken knives. I guess German steel but fabricated in China. Anyone have any thoughts on this brand?

I have the GW Premier Pro Cut Chef knife and paring knife, both labeled as made in Germany. Very high quality and beautiful.

I’m wondering how the Lightening Procut compares to the Premiere Procut....seems like the blades are the same. Hard to tell from the website.Comment

Yep checked them on their website. Better be good for the price. They most likely are very good.
Do you really need a whole set? I use a chef Knife, boning Knife, and paring knife.
