I'd try it just to see how it does on brisket fat. But apparently quality printers that print great gloss photos are $680-800 so that'll have to come first.

Huskee I should by the end of deer season......dead deer or not. I like fall photos.

I finally ditched my Canon Pixma Pro printer because the cost of the ink was cost prohibitive. I loved printing and have a good number of 13 " X 19" fine art quality prints on my walls. But when I took a good look at what those cost including the paper at $3.00 per sheet it became clear that online professional printing was the way to go.

Bkhuna I've seen many recommending that. What services you use? I'm maxing out at 8x10.

Suddenly chefs everywhere are going to see their physicians for "White Finger syndrome,"

Never heard of "White Glove Syndrome" but I've heard of Raynaud's as an accompaniment to certain autoimmune diseases.

Murdy I learned about it in a class I was taking in grad school, but I can't recall why jackhammer use and "white finger syndrome" was specifically mentioned. We must have been studying neuropathy as part of one of the courses I was taking or I wouldn't have known it existed.

Ultra sonic cutters are pretty common in cheese conversation. That's taking a 640lb block of cheddar and converting it to 8oz packs of sliced cheese, so the concept is proven. I'm a little curious about adaptation for home use but it's definitely interesting.

Still like Old Hickory even though they went out of business.

Interesting…although I can already cut tomato slices that can be seen through. My GF is always amazed at how thin I can slice things if I choose to. But I describe some of my knives as “obscenely sharp.”

        So…do I need one? No
Has that ever stopped me from purchasing anything ever? Also no.

Same here. I make coleslaw by hand cutting the cabbage because the mandoline slices are too thick.

Ditto: I like my tomatoes a little thicker, but I always warn people when they pick up one of my knives.

Johnny Booth I ALWAYS tell people to “Do Not Touch!” my knives.
The last person to get cut was my mother…shortly after I told her to leave them well enough alone because they are “STOOPID sharp.” She figured that she would help with some cleanup… She, and others present, couldn’t believe how fast it took to get cut. I felt like Bob from Bob’s Burgers…muttering, “Oh my god.” Followed by a more audible “Unbelievable.” She’s never touched them since. Truly self critiquing. :-/

Not interested in a new device for a problem that does not exist. I know how to keep my knives razor sharp. There is no need for a new electronic device that will fail sooner than later.

Looks "neat" but I've got other things in the category to prioritize, so I'll pass (for now, probably get cheaper in the not too far future).

I wonder if that would work on my Dupuytren’s disease? 🤔😉
