GolfGeezer Yeah, this is what I was looking at. It says Salmon Slicer, but nothing about what that actually means. I have asked the shop, but not holding my breath that they will know. The other option is this one:

But that is a 14" blade, which seems a bit much, but I don't know.

There are lots of good quality knife makers to choose from, we use knives made by Grohman knives which are located in Pictou NS, Canada and I will admit I am biased as I was born in Pictou county NS. For buyer using US$ these high quality knives come with a 35% discount. We have a whole set, it seems we buy one every time we visit family in NS. Check them out.

Thank you. Sadly a little too far to travel for a Brisket knife (although I have always wanted to go to Canada!)

Henrik Do you have any suggestions on Brisket/Carving knives that are available in Sweden?

Yes, as I see it you have two options:

      1. But from Amazon (that’s what I did)
      2. Look for a “salmon knife” in Sweden. That’s what is typically used for slicing a salmon in thin slices, and it looks identical to a brisket sword.

Thanks to the recommendations here, I just ordered the Mercer one posted by STEbbq. I have been saying for years that I need a slicer and have been making due with my Chicago Cutlery chef knife for cutting brisket. It does okay, but not great.
