    I use mine for:

    1) A modified version of campbells soup recipe for beef stroganoff (pretty sure I have posted it here). Easy comfort food. It cooks the meat the onion, the shrooms and the noodle simultaneously. Pretty slick.

    2) A recipe from online for corned beef cooked with a bottle of beer (or cider). Consistently great.

I was very concerned that rice was problematic because you can't check if it is done like a rice cooker. But it turns out as long as the water ratio is correct the duration doesn't matter all that much. I still use the rice cooker but if it dies I probably won't get a new one.

That is it for me so far.

So very true. I try to stay open minded but I don't have time/interest to mess around with things just to explore. Best time to do time consuming learning and experimenting is in your teens and 20's. Time compression makes it annoying later in life (unless for work or there some special motivation)

Ya know, I like playing with new stuff. It keeps this 82-year-old brain active.
