The attraction of the Instant Pot for me isn't the stuff I can do as well in a dutch oven. It's that UNLIKE a slow cooker, the IP is a pressure cooker. Better extraction on stocks, quicker cooking on beans, etc. But although I think about getting one every fall, I've not yet because I simply don't really NEED it and my kitchen is rather small.
The IP is a pressure cooker with a slow cooker function. I didn't use the slow cooker option for the first year or more but when I finally did, I was amazed at what a great slow cooker the IP can be as well, since you can saute as needed before setting to slow cook or pressure cook at the choice of a button. Maybe you should give your slow cooker away for the more versatile IP. Or put the IP in the closet and bring it out only to cook.
Funny you should ask that question now. We had one for several years collecting dust and taking up space. About ten days ago, I gave it a nice cleaning and we took it, together with a bunch of other stuff including a rice cooker, over to the neighborhood resale shop. I think we used the slow cooker about five times in the years it was inhabiting our kitchen. They are both being more than adequately replaced by the Insta Pot we’ve had for two years and used once.

I am an IP convert. We still have a slow cooker and it’s only used like Huskee said: to hold food warm. Perfect for the impromptu buffet table. I also have that little one for queso dip.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have two Crock pots. They take up a large space in my pantry/closet in the apt. My wife used em a lot, me never. I do have a Lodge Dutch oven that I have used & two jumbo steel pots fer soup & chili. Problem solved, out go the slow cookers. The beans that fzxdoc & ecowper coerced me into gettin will be done in the DO. Some times ya just have ta be talkin about things & the light bulb goes on. A most interesting post. I am still not convinced on the Instant Pot bein I’m a one man operation & no parties or gatherins, just the Derb, & he’s a light eater.
I am firmly convinced you will find that the DO more than adequately does everything the crock pots do. The only use I personally have for the crock pots is for making a big mess of queso for a party, or holding pulled pork for a party. A party is one of those things I've not been to since Christmas 2019 I suppose!
Still have 3 sizes, but haven't really cooked in them since the instant pot. I have used the crockpots for pot lucks to keep wings, ribs, or pulled pork warm. My wife still uses them when we have get-together events with boiled peanuts or the mini bbq sausages.
There is nothing like traditional pot roast using a dutch oven. We have (2), one an off brand that my MIL gave me as a gift and a red enameled Lodge. Both are workhorses but I can really abuse the off brand one and it shines at anything I throw at it.
My wife uses the crockpot for her cheesy potatoes recipe and a Paula Deen mac and cheese, that's about it. We have a Power Pressure Cooker XL that is a beast at cooking beans, refried beans, collards, pork chile verde, quick beef stew and so on.

I’ve not made anything in the slow cooker in years since everything is easily converted to a pressure cooker (two conventional plus the instant pot) with some liquid amount tweaking and cones out better.
donated my slow cooker and rice cooker over a year ago.

Full disclosure…I have never owned, or even used, a full size crockpot/slow cooker. O_o
I do have an Instant Pot…but have yet to use it as a slow cooker despite that being one of its apparent abilities. Many years ago I was given a small (miniature?) crock pot for dips I guess…I may have used it once…and forgot about it until minutes ago. Not sure if it’s hanging around or if I gave it away.
My go to "slow cooker" is one of my dutch ovens.
I started using those because I generally hated what came out of my parents "crockpots" when growing up. It took years before I wrapped my head around the fact that just because something is cooked in liquid doesn’t mean that it will be moist. What the..? How can something cooked in liquid be DRY? LOL
Anyway, that pretty much ruined slow cooker/crockpot cooking for me. So much so that when my wife suggested that we get one I pretty much replied with, "Eh…no."
My parents can still murder Boeuf Bourguignon…and any number of other things with a crockpot. Old habits die hard I guess. LOL
Though reading through many of the previous comments, I might indeed be willing to reconsider…though I have no intention presently to run out and purchase one. Using that instead of a dutch oven would be a hard sell indeed. But as I do have an Instant Pot…I might just have to run an experiment or two.

Not bland....but just not leaping out at you with flavor.
What I call "beige food." While it won’t kill you, it’s also often bland & boring…but provides necessary sustenance.
Generally not something one would eat on purpose or seek out.
Shoreside food on a naval base is almost always "beige" IMO.
I never thought of using Dutch Oven in a 225 oven instead of crock pot. How do you "crack the lid" For pressure cooking I have a jiggler and instapot. I prefer the jiggler, I like the option of running cold water over it to release the pressure. Steam blowing out of the instapot makes a mess.
