The last thread I found asking about injectors is from 2019 and a lot of the models discussed are no longer available or have reviews that indicate that they don't last very long (giving you some side-eye, OKJ).
So, those of you who use injectors, do you have a favorite brand? I like the idea of the siphon-style used by OKJ to avoid cross-contamination, but i can also get around that by pouring a little marinade into a second container. Also, I'd rather not spend $100, unless the general feeling is that, in this case, you really do get what you pay for.
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I bought an injector at Academy in their grilling section, for maybe $15-20 and all I can tell you is it came with numerous types of injector tips. I've ONLY used it a couple of times for turkey, with butter and spices, and once or twice with brisket, injecting some beef broth for kicks into the flat. I honestly forget I have it most of the time, and think use of injection is overrated.

Current cookers Weber Spirit 3 burner with a full insert griddle added. A 22" Kettle with vortex, SnS and a Smokey Joe. The most recent addition is a Pit Barrel Jr with bird hanger, 4 hooks and cover. ThermoWorks Smoke 2 probe, DOT, 2 ThermoPops and a Thermapen MK4. A Thermoworks RFX Gateway 2 probe meat thermometer.
This is what I have. I've used on chicken and pork loin and tenderloin. Don't know the brand and if I spent more than $15 , it was a dumb move on my part.
I don't inject as often as I used to. I have several different injectors most of the time if I am just injecting one or two pieces of meat I use a basic syringe style injector.
I bought the Spitjack Magnum real nice pistol grip shape, really nice has like 5 different needles with cleaning kit and replacement O rings all in a semi-hard case. Now one of these days I am going to use it!
I bought the same. pulled a recipe off Grok3, and will try it out on a flat after I get off this nagging gout attack. just looking for application techniques and any other useful experience comments.
I bought the Beast stainless steel injector 8-10 years ago. I almost never inject anything anymore but I did have the occasion to do so a few months ago and the good ol' injector still works just fine. If I was doing a lot of injecting I might consider a siphon type injector but for limited use the Beast has served me well.
Great question—I’ve been wondering the same. I used to rely on a budget injector, but after a couple clogs and a cracked barrel, I’m starting to think it’s worth investing in something more durable. The siphon-style sounds convenient, but I agree—pouring into a second container works just fine if you're careful.
It’s funny how tools like injectors seem simple but end up being so personal. Kind of like rituals, in a way. A friend of mine recently went through a Limpieza Espiritual en Chicago, and they talked about how even small, intentional actions can carry weight. Makes me think maybe even prepping a brisket has a little more meaning than we give it credit for.

I am on these right now. I will not be able to make any deletions for a little bit. I am on the road, but I will get to it as soon as I can. Thank you for the heads up
I retired mine a long time ago, just I choice that I made for my style of cooking. I don't remember the brand but I did spend some bucks on it as my first cheap one didn't work all that well. My advice if you use one, buy quality.
