Tempted to get one. What is the range on these? My maveric wont stay connected when I go inside my shop (metal siding) even though I am only 30 feet away with 2 big open windows in between

Stated (and tested) line of sight range is ~ 300 feet...
Not sure how that'll work in yer outbuildin'

I'm a major fan of Thermoworks. I have many of their products and can't say enough about them. I've even bought them and gave them to my kids who use them regularly and love them. I took advantage of this sale and was amazed how fast I got it. Ordered it on Monday and received it Wednesday afternoon and I live in eastern Canada. I have been watching this product since it was introduced and missed out on a one day only sale but I wasn't going to miss out on this one. Can't wait to take it for a test drive but if it's like everything else from Thermoworks I won't be disappointed. I'll let you know how it turns out.

As of 10AM today, it's gone. Wish I'd noticed this earlier! Still worth it; I don't need the high-end ThermaQ's features, but that ET-732 is a pain to program for alerts!

I bought the Thermoworks Smoke last week, should be arriving tomorrow...I plan to celebrate with a nice pork shoulder, to break it in.

One comment about the other product mentioned in one of the posts here - from ThermoPro...I saw this as well, and was almost swayed to buy it instead - until I discovered that it had no alert for low temperature! This was the big difference for me...The Smoke has customizable alerts for both Low and High temps (i.e. if your smoker starts to drop below an air temp of 200 degrees, it will wake you up!). The other product (and as far as I can tell, MOST other products) only have alerts for high temps. This was a deal breaker for me - I need to know if the smoker needs attention. I guess that's why the Thermoworks Smoke is listed for BBQ Competition use, with the features it has, it can make that claim!
