Any information would help. I never thought I would need one of these, but it would be fun to play with.

I'm looking for a Predictive Thermometer for Christmas. What are my options? Which ones are the best?

I use MEATER. It is not perfect and the predictions change throughout the cook. The ambient temp reading is close to food which some argue is the actual cooking temperature rather than the grill temp. It seems like the closer the cook is to finishing the more accurate the prediction. Smoking Dad on YouTube contends that while not perfect it’s is the best he has seen. I would say that while the predictions change they get you in the ballpark.
