The Backyard Grill Wireless Thermometer @ Walmart stores was a great backup when I forgot my maverick wireless at the beach. It cost $15 and I bought 2, 1 for meat and one for the oven. Work great, Because the oven temp was over any meat temp program I turned off the alarm But when I ran both meat and oven together it switched from 1temp to the other and the oven temp would alarm. I Would switch off one or the other (easy to do) and read the meat or oven for a while. Great back up in a pinch
