Any Combustion Inc. Wireless Issues?

I've been using the wireless probe and display since 2022 and love it for its accuracy, simplicity, and the app.

Recently bought the booster that doubles as a longer life charging station for the probe as well as wifi range extender, which was my main reason for buying it.

The booster did its job. Once. Now it doesn't work and also seems to have maybe fried my probe, which now won't even charge on the old charger.

Firmware is up to date for all components, it has always been stored with a full charge and I've never misused it.

Anyone had any similar issues or ideas?

The same thing happened to me I contacted combustion support by email they sent me a replacement right away then I returned the the one that stopped working to combustion.

I had the probe quit on the basic kit. They immediately replaced it with an extended range probe.
My sense is that they have some initial technical issues, but are excellent on service and warranty issues.
Highly recommend them.

Combustion products are great when they work, but, for me, they just randomly will quit working. Two cooks ago, I couldn't get the "time till done" function to work. Last time I used it, it did work. They have replaced one probe for me too. And they don't seen to hold a charge very long.

Gonna try mine out again Friday for a brisket cook. I ditched AT&T internet so I should be good. Internet went out last time and ruined my remote monitoring.

My typical setup is to put the yellow box repeater next to the cooker and then use the app indoors on an iPad to watch the cook. Last week I used the same setup for two pieces of meat, the repeater seeing both thermometers, but the app inside only saw one of the thermometers. And in the latest app I don’t care for the safe cook box, or whatever they call it, taking up so much real estate on the screen where another thermometer’s data should be.

My two probes work flawlessly I'd say around 98% of the time. Is it just me, or is there always a firmware update available?

I use an offset, so I am always there. Cheap blue tooth probe just so I can walk away for a few minutes.
No set and forget for me. 🤓
