A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to Use The Combustion….

When the unit is charging, it sits in my kitchen on the cookbook stand. I go to grab it for a cook today and 💥













as of this posting…. It’s working…. It just has a tail 🤪 I cannot pull it out for fear of destroying everything.

Alan Brice if you are referring to plugging into the unit, I can’t pull it out. If you are referring to the wall, then this unit is done because I will not be able to charge it anymore.

If it got hot enough to do that something is definitely wrong. I would contact the manufacturer or toss it.

I understand that, but better than burning the house down. Glad to see Combustion is on it. On our E Bikes they instructions specifically say do not leave the charger on after they complete their charge.

You're right, that seems dangerous to touch. May I know how many minutes was it charging before this happened? Also, are you using the recommended charger?

Wow, that was a quick response. So they're sending you a new charger? Will they analyze what the goop in the old one was? I'd be curious to know, since I just got a Combustion setup myself.

The goop, I assume, was molten plastic.
Something must of shorted out around the plug when the unit was picked up.
