Just got the Pre-Order invite email. Ordered 2 probes and the S1G antenna (don't think I'll need it, but I want to check out the technology). No "expected ship date" info, just the order confirmation so far.

I did pre-register just in case, but I didn't get the pre-order email. Honestly I don't know that I was going to buy one, I'm quite happy with my wired probes and my MAK. But maybe I might want one for the hasty though... though I do want to wait and see how it talks to the Fireboard without the antenna... I know that S1G is relatively cheap but considering I paid top dollar for the Pro2...Comment

GolfGeezer I figure I'll be watching for your review since I assume you'll test the pulse on your MAK and that will give me an idea of whether I would need the S1G or not

ItsAllGoneToTheDogs Doh! I no longer have the MAK. I downsized to an SnS Kettle. I loved the MAK, but its size and maintenance given I'm mostly smoking (when I smoke) for just myself, it was getting to a physical burden for this 77-year-old bod. I will be testing the Pulse with the SnS though. I'll also test with my Napoleon gasser - that will have similar "signal through cooker body" distance issues as the MAK would.
