    Thermopro TP620

I wanted a cheaper thermometer than my Thermoworks One for work, but wanted something a little sturdier than the thermopops. Snagged this on sale and it's just like every other Thermopro product I've had before. It's just shy of 1 degree F off which is acceptable, the build quality is good but not solid like the Thermoworks stuff I've used.

It does have a feature I like though, the lock button locks the temp reading. Also unlike the previous Thermopro folding unit I had, the button to switch between C and F is almost impossible to accidentally hit.

But there is one glaring issue (as with all Thermopro items on Amazon there is a chance this is a knockoff but I'm not too worried about that at the price point with it being accurate with an ice water test)

    Congrats!

    Bill likes it:

"...this isn’t the fastest or the most accurate thermometer I’ve tested, but it is more than good enough for its intended purpose: cooking.

The product is warranted for three years. The instruction booklet is thorough and has contact information for the manufacturer, should the user have any problems. There are phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and a website available.

This is a full-featured thermometer that exhibits good performance and a quality build. It’s a bit more expensive than most of the company’s products, but it appears to be more rugged. What’s not to like?"

yep, checked that review before I pulled the trigger. I just find the recommended temps a bit humorous. I got it for 39 so no complaints here!

Is there fine print to subtract 10-F for each beef temp??

Yeah, we don't trust many temp recommendations! Thankfully many of us know them well by now, and have Meathead's magnetic temp guide if not.

I picked one of these up, when they first came out, as an "upgrade" to my trusty 19H.

It's slightly better but for the price, I'll stick with the 19H

I had a TP18 before I got my Thermoworks One, that thing was beyond frustrating with the sensitive C/F switch button. This TP620 is a significant improvement over the 18 but the One is even better than either by far (other than you have to separately buy a cover with a magnet).

          Hey now!
My buddy's mom went to prom with Ronnie Millsap!
She has nothing but good things to say about him.
