My Smoke 2 port has had an issue where the top port is not seeing the probe. I emailed them and received a response within a half hour. The rep, Sidney had asked a bunch of questions. I asked her to call which see did. I answered her questions. I assumed I would need to ship it for repair. That was one option. The other option, ship me a new base for $25 including shipping. All I have to do is sync it to the remote. I was amazed and went on about their service. I mentioned us and all the positive feedback for them from the Pitmaster Club. I also told her about the free site, amazingribs.com and the Pitmaster Club. I said if you Q, check it out with the free trial. While we were talking she was looking at the free side and was impressed. She said she's going to check it out. I gave her my handle and if she jumps in, let me know. Meathead do I get a commission for bringing on new folks.

The most recent addition is a Pit Barrel Jr with bird hanger, 4 hooks and cover. ThermoWorks Smoke 2 probe, DOT, 2 ThermoPops and a Thermapen MK4. A Thermoworks RFX Gateway 2 probe meat thermometer.

THANKS! Actually, we are working on a plan to give members a free month for every new member they recruit. We are well known to Thermoworks management. Surprised she did not know about us. But then she is customer service and may not even know how to cook! She must be new.

Here's a tangent on Thermoworks support. I was smoking a chicken with a probe in the legs and one in the breast, so I could pull them separately. However the Termoworks app kept calling the label for the breast probe "*****". I couldn't figure out what the problem was, so I called tech support. They answered promptly and the rep explained to me that the app considered "breast" to be an obscenity and therefore crossed it out. We both thought it was pretty funny, so I changed the label to "chest", which the app allowed. The chicken came out fine in any case.

I received the new base and synced it to the receiver. All is good. I'll be following up with Sydney and I received a survey which I'll complete and send in.
