Back and Decker surprised me with their customer service. I have a dustbuster that didn’t come with the filter to protect the motor and I didn’t realize it until it was too late. I called in and they sent me a replacement with almost no questions asked. I just had to take a couple of pictures of it! Got the replacement today and it actually has the filter the first one didn’t have.

Great experience with Combustion thermometers with an immediate replacement of a defective unit. Poor experience with Panasonic microwave that came with a broken turntable. Impossible to reach them and turned to Costco for help. They tried reaching them and gave up and told me to return the microwave. So-so experience with Thermoworks that just sells you a replacement for 30% off.Comment

Last week I had a question on my 4 year old MAK Pellet Grill. I gave them a call and there was no answer so I thought they were probably on another call and I'd just call them later rather than leave a message. About 2 minutes after I hung up they called me! A nice man and I had a good visit about my controller question and then he asked me for my recipe to do pulled turkey as that was what I was doing when my controller question came about. I only wish I'd written down his name.Comment

A meat market in the county to the north of me sells "Natural Casing Hotdogs" that have no ingredients list.
They are not store-made.
I also can't find any health department records of any health inspections there, no matter how I search.
I contacted the county health department to ask for answers on these 2 simple questions.
It's been 4 days and I have still heard nothing.
In my county, all records are easily searchable because they actually have intelligent software.
EDIT: Maybe this health department is short-staffed like most government agencies.
I'm going to wait until Wednesday to contact them again.

PGH_RAM - Yes. The e-mail I sent had gotten replied to, just to the wrong person.
Basically, the Health Department wrote them up for about 7 violations.
We had bought 2 whole chickens from them and 1 was nasty when opened.
So, they have been crossed off our list.

Combustion replaced 3 units of mine after going through troubleshooting with support. It wasn’t no questions asked but they did make good on their warranty. 🔥🔥🐿️Comment

Unfortunately, I have to add Keurig to this list. I don't care for their machines, but my wife would get rid of me prior to her Keurig. They aren't terribly well made, which has, oddly, worked in my favor. Since getting her one probably 15 years ago now, not a single one has lasted a year. So, she calls, and they replace it under warranty. Thing is, the replacements also have a 1 year warranty, and they send her whatever the current model is.Comment
