I’m looking to purchase 4 sets to have in my grilling tools for my Fireboards. I’m like a bull in the china shop, I run shit over so easy, generally when backing up, or turning. And I have gone through everything that came from FireBoard and the ones I have now, are not likely to last more than a year. But I would like to buy something that’s a bit more rugged to use.
Anyone have recommendations on these, stuff that can handle being in our ways of cooking?
Are you looking for the cords or the actual charging unit itself? The cords are consumable and I just toss them when they die. No brand has ever lasted very long. The charger itself, I do like Anker.
I too like Anker. I have at least 5 of them since Apple doesn’t include them anymore with their new products that utilize USB-C cords. I prefer over the ones Apple makes because they’re smaller.
I of course love smoked meats of all kinds, but also like quick cooks like chicken portions, pork tenderloins, steak and fish. Really into cooking of all kinds.
My outdoor kitchen has a Lone Star Grillz Adjustable and it is wonderful. There also is a Pit Boss 5 Burner Ultimate Griddle and a Pit Boss Copperhead pellet grill.
There is an outdoor fire pit that has grilling capability and limited Santa Maria-style grill raising and lowering.
My Fireboard is new enough that the manual was still easy to find. It says any standard USB C cable will work for charging. I just did a quick search and it looks like there are many options and vendors to choose from if you opt to get a heavy duty USB C cable.
I use this, I've used it for the FB before when I forgot to charge it before a cook. And we also use it a lot when on vacation for our phones. Fits nicely in my pocket or wifes purse. DO NOT buy generic chargers, it's a lottery ticket to a house fire.
When I had to use the charger I actually have a lithium envelope for my RC batteries, but I suspect a sandwich baggy would suffice. I won't use a plug as I don't trust them to be rated for outdoor use, then again my USB C cables probably aren't either

If it's just for the house that seems to be a good one, I love my Anker, smaller profile than our phones but can charge both of our phones to get us through the day in bad signal areas or high use vacation scenarios without being a burden.

I've been using this one since September. Seems solid. A nice benefit, wireless charging works on my Galaxy phone with a stout case, which others wouldn't. It's sold private labelled through a ham radio outfit, but I found the same unit on the universal online sales site at about $25 less..
