I've been using the combination of the Thermoworks Smoke and the Smoke Gateway for years. Great product. I paid about $200 for both. They are adding the Gateway for free and the Smoke is on sale. This is a heck of a deal. Just a heads up for those looking for a good leave-in remote thermometer.
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

I suspect they're going to release a Gateway that works with both Smoke X and original Smoke models, hence clearing these Gateways out which are compatible with the original Smoke only. Great deal if you want/need the original 2-channel setup and nothing more.
Aww man I'm so tempted, thanks for sharing. I have a sorta-new Meater+ which would get relegated to backup duty.....But I suppose I would still need the Meater for rotisserie cooks.... Might have to pull the trigger later!
