mgood777 I am sorry your experience with FB has been so poor. My experience over the years (since buying the original version, now the FB non-Pro and the Spark) has been very good, including replacements for probes that have gone bad. Some exhibited similar issues to what you are having, and those were the non-K styles (RTD, 10K and 100K). One thing I seem to recall is someone here on The Pit had issues with their K-Style probe(s) and discovered that the tiny screws on the connector end were loose. Tightening them resolved the issue from what I recall.
As for the Signals - I also have one. It is fine - works as advertised. I tend to not use it mainly because the App s**ks, both Android and Apple versions. it is not very good at allowing you to do much - no editing notes, no added pictures, and it only saves a very limited number of cooking sessions. No access via a regular web browser either. Of course, you may find it fits your needs perfectly, so take my input for what it is - just IMHO.
Good luck!
PS. here is the post I referred to about loose screws in the K-probes:
I might have seen your original post abut the time I started having problems and was researching. At that time, one of my three probes had loose screws. I tightened but it had no impact. Still had all sorts of problems after that.
If you can't have the one you love, love the one you have.
If it is broken down and no good
Don't try to sell it to the brotherhood.
If it doesn't work, I'll tell you in all haste
Throw it away, what a waste.
Fair point, but I didn't sell it to the brotherhood. I gave it away. Heck I didn't even ask the guy to reimburse me for shipping. He now has it completely for free.

I’m spending one of mine in, I had 3 probes reading the same temp, those three spots did not have probes in. I had to shut off and power back on. Plus at the same time, 2 other ports read the wrong temps, and went back once I rebooted. I still love this thing
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I've thought of eventually getting a Fireboard, but to-date, have been completely happy with all of my Thermoworks products, AND with Thermoworks customer service. They even repaired an out of warranty Smoke, at no charge. I had accidentally laid a hot grate on the side table the Smoke was on and melted the screen and housing, and sent it in, planning to pay the $29 they told me over the phone for their out of warranty service on it. But once they got it, because they didn't have the same color in stock, the technician replaced the housing for free, and sent it back to me - after me approving the new color! Old was black. New was black with flames, haha.
Sorry to hear you're having issues with both the product and people from Fireboard. So, far, mine's worked flawlessly but I may have to invest in some new probes sooner rather than later.
WayneT, look into those probes I listed above - they work great, they are very long and straight, though a little thicker than the new 'competition' probes, they are thinner than the old original Fireboard probes. And cheaper by far. I've always thought Fireboard was stupid high on their accessories.
realdocBBQ Those probes will not work with the FB Pro. Also, I believe you need to find out if they are RTD or Thermistor to properly set the FB for the specific resistance. As for the FB Pro - you can use ANY K-Style probe from any supplier as K-Style is an industry standard method. Thermoworks sells a number of those as well. I know I can use my MAK K-probes in my Thermoworks IR gun and vice versa.
