They’re real! The first official production units are in Seattle and they look great. We’re inspecting them today, installing the newest firmware, and shipping them out tomorrow. We’ll be giving the green light to go full-tilt on production. Finally!



You might have the very reasonable question, when will I get my order?



It will take about a month of production to build all of the current orders, although we’ll be shipping finished products over in batches. Based on the timing of the shipment we’ve just received, we expect the next batch to arrive at our warehouse the week of November 28th, with another batch following each week until we’re caught up. That means very few customers will get their thermometer by Turkey day, which I know is incredibly disappointing. We are doing everything we can to get all of the preorders shipped before Christmas. Naturally, it’s the most challenging time of year for shipping. And customs. And so on.



We’re shipping preorders strictly in the order we’ve received them, and your order number is your place in line. Once your order arrives at our warehouse, you’ll receive an email with a shipping notice and an estimated delivery date.



On a personal note, I can’t wait for you to be able to cook with this. And thank you so much for your near infinite patience. This has become a far more ambitious product than I expected, but I believe it will prove to have been worth the wait."

Gunbe - I won't be able to try mine out until the middle of next week at the earliest, but I think some of the other's that have received theirs may get to try their's out sooner.

Order 2656 is on the way and should arrive sometime tomorrow. Per UPS tracking. Yesterday I got the email from Combustion that a label was created. I think they are shipping out a bunch of them now.

IFZBC, Histrix and SmokingSteve - between the time I posted last night and midnight I received the shipping notice and it's supposed to arrive this Friday.

I always go through my spam folder every day because something I want to see does go to spam occasionally.

I'd rather miss the notice that it will ship soon than the shipped notice anyway.

I too got my shipped notice last night at 11:34pm. Order number 1525. So it sounds like they received and shipped a lot of them! Unfortunately my shipping data indicates it won't be to me until the 27th. Time to start planning a big New Years cook!

Just to mention a slight hiccup when updating firmware from my iPad. Control unit updated with no problem but the update for the thermometer itself hung at starting update. Closed app and then tried again but same thing happened. Then I closed the app, wiped it from memory, and then started app again and tried update again. Worked great after the restart.

Confirming, there is a bug in the firmware update library supplied by our chip manufacturer. We're trying to hunt it down, but if this happens the best approach to work around it is to restart your phone, and then only power on and update one device at a time.

I just received an email the there is an update to the IOS app available now.

Mine (order 1212) was supposed to be here yesterday. Now, it’s supposed to be here later today. I hope it shows so I can use it for Prime Rib tomorrow. It’s at least at the local UPS distribution center now, so there’s a chance of it actually showing up on Christmas Eve.

Vertical gas smoker. I stretched it out to 24.5" square on the outside dimensions. Which means I ain't gettin' two sections out of 4ft. So I needed 2 more to at least get the base set up. I got enough for the legs to get connected to the casters and enough insulation to start. Waiting on my 2 plates for the floor and my pipe sections that are going through the floor for my burner intake and 2 air vents. I just need it done my Sept. 2023.

Mine arrived on the 27th... Due to crazy work schedule, they haven't been blessed with the first cook yet!! But, I charged and updated firmware. Can't wait to hit the heat. Tomorrow I'm planning on putting a NY Strip roast in the pit barrel. I may cut it into two different sized roasts to see how each reads differently.
