I'm holding out for Fireboard or Thermoworks to come out with a wireless thermometer. They are the best at what they do. When either one of them do it's going to check all the boxes.

Current line-up of cookers: Oklahoma Joe's Bronco Pro, Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050, Blackstone ProSeries 4 Burner 36" griddle, Weber Performer Deluxe and Weber Smokey Joe.
I'm interested. It wouldn't replace my Maverick XR-50, but it looks like a possible solution for rotisserie cooking.

I could see that. When I transferred to oven n shut the door the connection was lost.

Mine is rather useless. I had an early one, from the Kickstarter, and all ambient probes read different temps sitting beside each other, and not by a degree, several degrees, each! Signal range was laughable- wouldn't reach from inside my kettle right outside my slider door into my house, 6' if that. I hope they've improved since those days, but since the release was delayed by ~2 years so they could "get it right" and then this is what I received, I simply haven't had much hope for them since.

I love my Meater, have few connection problems so long as it has a full charge and battern in base is good. I have used it on overnight cooks with no issues.
I remember seeing (or thought I saw) a controller that used the Meater as sensor for ambient and meat temps, anyone else see anything like that?
It doesn't work in an ovev as it it enclosed in metal, does your cell phone work in a bank valult? LOL
