    Maverick Thermometer

    Just grilled up 4 NY Strips on the Weber kettle . Used my Maverick thermometer to probe in to check temps . One of the steaks was really thick — the butcher was generous— and when I probed , I got a pretty wide difference in temp . I think the Maverick is fine , but I’m curious as to how to manage that . What is true truth on the temp ??

    I get the same thing with burgers. I just need the lowest to get to my minimum.
