FYI - BBQ Guys $10 off Maverick XR-50 - Free Shipping

Just lost another Thermoworks Smoke probe last night. This is getting old and lately I have found a greater need for at least a 3 probe unit - 2 meats / 1 grate. So it looks like an XR-50 is in my future. Oh goody, goody anutha toy!!!

Sadly I've still got a replacement Smoke probe stash, but as I said this is getting old, time to try a new dog. During my search I saw a maybe that the probes are cross compatible between the Smoke and XR-50. Anybody got better info? I will give it a try when both are in the house and report my experience.

Thought anybody in the same boat or inclination would like to know, don't know how long the sale lasts.

Oh, BTW Thermoworks also has the 2 channel Smoke on sale for 20% off too. $ .79 cheaper than the XR-50 but with $4.99 shipping

The XR-50 is the bomb, I have a few. I love them. I don't think any Maverick & ThermoWorks products are cross-compatible w/ probes but to be fair I haven't actually tried it, I think that's fake news. Smoke X4 is another great device!

I agree with Huskee. the XR50 is great - never had a problem. I may just get another on since they are on sale.

I have two XR-50s and they get used a lot. I also ordered a set of probes with extra long cables for use on my meadow creek.
