Quite a while ago I snagged an end cut massive cutting board from Dalstrong on a deep discount.

Only one problem, it was a corner design for counter tops so had an angled brace on it, and well... my counter tops are not level so the thing rocked like crazy and was not very usable.
I've been meaning forever to ask my neighbor to cut the angled piece off and make it a flat cutting board for counter top use. But like many things, I never got around to it.
Christmas, I did use it for my massive ham, rocking as I sliced, meat juice spilled everywhere...
So I asked my step-dad to cut the angle off and do the juice grooves. Today he stopped by my work and dropped it off unexpectedly, I had said no rush.
I now have a perfectly flat board with some minor imperfections in the juice grove he made and it's perfect. 1/2" deep groove should prevent any future spillage, and every notch where the routing isn't factory machine perfect is a nice memory that family did it for me
I couldn't be happier. (He asked multiple times if whatever was ok because he didn't have the right tools, I said do whatever, worst case I got it on sale and it will make a nice fire
)
Can't wait to use this on my next big cook!

Got it all oiled up and ready to rock!
