    Richlite?

I am on the hunt for a Heat resistant cutting board that I can keep outside (under my grill pavilion)
I have 10 drawer tool chest (18x41) w/o the wood top

Cuttingboards.net - 1/4" Black Richlite Cutting Board - A Cut Above the Rest!

    Anyone have experience with cuttingboards.net??

They appear to have Poly, Bamboo, and RICHLITE Boards that you can order in any size (down to the 1/16th!!)
    AND different thicknesses are available

RIchlite might be a decent option...thoughts?

It talks about being harder than wood. Does that mean it is hard on knives and your knives are going to get prematurely dull?

This will be more of a prep/staging area...mostly concerned about it being outside.

I have smaller cutting boards that I can grab when needed.

Yeah "Much harder surface than wood" is a negative, not a positive.

Why does it need to be heat resistant, though? I can't think of a time when I expose my cutting board to high heat.

Plan to use this surface as a prep and stage area (Cast Iron Dutch oven orf fry pan may get placed there...

Mostly concerned about it being store outside

Ahh.. hmm. Maybe a dual solution? One that's temp safe and takes maybe 1/3 of the area and another that's a cutting board? Then you could use an inexpensive commercial plastic cutting board e.g. https://www.cuttingboards.net/poly-boards/
