Hey, wouldn't a cheap chimney minus the handle and cut down to the right hight make a good Vortex?
I know it isn't built like a funnel and it's a little smaller but I think it would work.
I already have a Vortex but was just thinking of the guy on a budget.

No I don't use it much. I use the SnS all the time. Of course I don't sear a lot either. I like my meat to be dripping in a puddle on my plate. It has good features. It all depends on what you cook and how you want to cook it. I did some wings with it last week end. Doing wings tonight with SnS to see what the difference is.
