- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
Nice looking piece of enameled cast iron there!
I will say, this is the only place I come and see a bunch of guys talking about hiding the purchase of pots and pans from their wives... Y'all are too funny!
I've been using my Misen 7qt a lot more lately, making soups, stews and yesterday chili. I am sure I could get it done in my cheapo thin walled stainless stock pot, but it wouldn't look as pretty, and would be more likely to scorch on the bottom if I didn't stir constantly. I wouldn't have that Misen though unless I had not gotten it on a kickstarter a whole lot cheaper than it goes for today.

Richard Chrz that stainless dutch oven will be MUCH lighter than my CI one from Misen. Only 5 pounds versus almost 12 for the pot, and another 5-7 for the lid.
I just browned some ground beef for Yvonne in the Misen and put it in the fridge for her to make taco soup in the morning. It was nice to have the high walls to minimize grease spatter that I would have had with the Lodge 12" CI skillet. I made chili in it yesterday.
I'm gonna work on my one pot cooking this winter I think!

Is a beautiful piece of cookware, no doubt. But I just can't justify the high price when my $50 Lodge does a perfectly fine job.
