My father in law works for a cleaning company. The company was hired to clean out a restaurant on Miami Beach that closed. They left stuff behind. So now I have 4 chefs cast iron fajita sizzle platters

Reason I was askin, was I was thinkin I'd be makin me some wood bases, restaurant-style, if servin platters, to keep from smokin/brandin my antique oak dinin table, countertops, etc....

I have a set with the wood bases like your talking about Mr. Bones wife snagged em at a garage sale long time ago. Don't think I've used them yet. It's a set of 4 and whenever we make fajitas it's usually for a crowd.

Ha!!! Mr. Bones those look like serving irons. Very cool. Nice finish!! Hot spots would show on cooking irons and they have holes on the ends for the detachable handles.

edit: with the flat ends they also look like they were meant for cooking racks or hot boxes. That's all I got.
