    Wagner Ware Reproduction Long Griddle

I saw that the Wagner brand is trying to be revived.

It looks as though the will be working on recreating pieces as opposed to coming up with new original designs.

I wish they were a little more clear on who makes these pans as it sounds like it is contracted out within the US.

The price seems right considering other US made cast iron though you can get an original Wagner Long griddle for about half the price of this new one.

We have one family skillet and it is a Wagner that is about 100 years old. I am excited to see what this new chapter of Wagner does!

Designed to cover two burners on the stove top but equally suited to cooking over an open flame. Perfect for pancakes, grilled cheese, french toast or burgers.

Very interesting. It looks like a Smithey casting to me. If I had to guess, that is who is making them for them. (I will admit, this is purely speculation) What a gorgeous recreation.

I have an original in my collection. It does look jsut like this one, only mine is worn from years of use. The corners and edges are not as sharp any more, but it still cooks well!

Spinaker I agree! Gorgeous and I was leaning towards Smithey but I feel like maybe they are utilizing more than one foundry but that may just be for future projects. Pure speculation again.

I have a Griswold long griddle but it doesn’t have the grease ring. I’ll hold off for a bit but might have to add this one soon!

That would work well on my camp chef stove. I'll bookmark it. Can't afford it right now. Thanks for adding to my MCS

You've piqued my interest. I have two cast iron griddles, each 8.5 X 17. Don't know their heritage, but I'd say they cook well. What does one look for in cast iron cookware? I can't believe "cast iron is cast iron," or is it?

They are indeed back and ready for production. No word on if they have reopened the factory that was closed in 1999, or if they are having these made for them. (I think they look oddly like a Smithey casting, if I had to guess, but that TOTAL speculation)

Spinaker I’ve been trying to forget about this beauty. I’m giving up hope and think one may be joining my team before too long.
