I was perusing through an antique store in Bell Buckle TN this weekend and came upon this find. Since I'm originally from about 60 miles South of Erie PA, I have been wanting to track at least one of these down over the past few years. Yeah, I could easily buy on on e-Bay , but stumbling upon one makes it even a better find.
It's in very good condition, although I will clean it up and re-season myself. I believe this is the 1939 through 1940's generation of skillet?
The store had a bunch of Lodge and no-named skillets that I flipped over to check out the brands. Imagine my surprise when I flipped this one over. I am surprised that it's not as thick/heavy as my older Lodge skillets.
