I just got this today. Although it appears to be pre-seasoned, I did a quick seasoning anyhow.
The picture doesn’t do it justice; this pan is beautiful. It is also small; ain’t nobody cooking for a crowd with this. It’s 1-2-3 eggs, with 3 being a thick omelet. I’m not hungry right now, I’ll give it a try tomorrow morning and post a pic as a reply here.
$53, reduced from $100. Let’s see if the Amazon link works:
I am impressed...over the last few years have started using iron for almost everything...except eggs. I'm still scared to try that and use nonstick. Maybe I should give it a shot..
I cook eggs in my CI. Fried eggs do great, especially in the 10” pan I have. I cooked scrambled eggs in my larger CI last night and they cook up well, but leave a slight coating of egg that comes up with a little water and wipe.
Yeah, for years I’ve just used a cheap non-stick until it didn’t work any more. But even cheap ones are half the cost of this now! I figure this will cover me from now forward.
Mosca user reviews on Amazon seem to indicate the surface somehow takes up the oil much more than a Lodge, and it will be very nonstick even though it doesn't appear smooth. Looking forward to seeing how it performs for you.

jfmorris It’s fine. Excellent, actually. I thought it probably would be, but y’know, I’d read those reviews, too, and I was prepared to return it. But it’s slick like a brand new non-stick skillet is.
This is a 3 egg mushroom and Jarlsberg omelet. I used 50/50 olive oil and butter. I did set the heat a little lower than I would with my non-stick. The eggs tempered beautifully, I didn’t want to stop in the middle to snap a photo. But you can immediately see in the picture, by looking at the edge, that these are free:
The spatula slides right under:
The pan is clean:
Order up!
My guess is that there is a wide range of experiences, and perhaps even a wide range of quality control. I did read a review where someone said they had black specks flaking off; trust me, nothing is flaking off this thing. And, as you can see, it is really a pan for a one-person omelet. Four eggs would be an overload, you’re better off taking the extra minute and making two 2 egg omelets. But I wouldn’t hesitate to give this one the Mosca seal of approval.
