    Just Ordered This From Lodge

Always wanted an enamel cast iron dutch oven. For Prime Days it was 30% off. Could kick myself but I didn't buy. Now it's 13% off. Better than no discount. The 1st recipe is already decided on. Chicken and Dumplings from Ree Drummond.

Good find, we have one and use it all the time. Very durable.

I have one and it works perfectly fine. As much as I’d like a LeCrueset I just can’t justify the price.

+1. All my C.I. are Lodge and no complaints.

I used mine for bread but then I wanted a bigger one. I bought the regular CI dutch oven and use it for bread now. The enameled is now used for beans and chili mostly.

Chicken and dumplings are a good choice.
              Pictures too.

That's a given. All I need is the pot and a chicken.

I am sure you'll enjoy it. Even with all the heft of the thing, I use mine quite frequently. (Made chili in it yesterday, in fact.)

I may be replacing mine shortly. After 20 years, the enamel is starting to flake off on the lid.

You will love it. I find that a lot of recipes that call for simmering work better in the oven at around 325 - chili, stew, etc..
