Mr BBQ Steam Clean Grill Brush

    Has anyone tried this?
I just picked one up at my Jewel.

I loved my bristle one, I might have to try that version if you like it. Mine bristle one lasted about 3 years exposed to the elements.

It steam cleans after soaking in ice water and you scrub our hot grill. I like it but, it is a nuisance to soak it in cold water. It works well in conjunction with my individual grill rung scraper.

Why cold water? It would seem to me that water that is closer to the boiling point would turn into steam more readily. Have you tried it with room temperature water?

Murdy They recommend ice water and it really sizzles. I don’t think I’ve tried room temp, but next time I’ll give it a look see.

I'm glad I asked. I'm going to return it and keep using the Weber brushes.
      Thanks!

Similar steam-clean brushes seem to be popular. I think Meathead really likes his. I have one but haven't tested it yet, I keep forgetting I have it somewhere. I wouldn't return it just yet.

I have one, but have only used it a couple of times last fall. Worked well if I remember correctly.

I’ve never tried it but I just don’t see how that configuration is going to clean between the tines of the grate where there is always a lot of gunk. I also don’t like the idea of having to haul out a bowl of ice water to use it, along with the fact the grate has to be hot before cleaning. I’ll pass.

It's more a fine-tune surface clean after you do the heavier crispy gunk clean.

Awhile back my Secret Santa gifted me a Grill Rescue brush, really a pad on a handle. Very similar; hot grill, water, steam clean. It works very well, especially on griddles. As Huskee says, it is the finising pass on grates.
