Replace Gasser Grates with Grill Grates

Has anyone ever entirely replaced their gassers grates with GrillGrates? I have a Weber Spirit e-310. Comes with iron grates and they are starting to rust. It looks like GrillGrates can be cut to size for depth, and I could cut one with a jigsaw so that the width was right. Is this a good option?

GrillGrates are fantastic!! Call them to see if they can make the size you want.

You can remove and replace your old grates, or you can just put grill grates on top of your existing grates. They will cut them to size for you if they don't already have the size necessary for your grill.

Grill Grates are one of the BBQ accessories that I believe are indispensable. Next to my KKs, Grill Grates is one of the best purchases I've made. Ever. Well, there was the retainer for that divorce attorney, but …

Oh heck no! All the women I have ever dated love my cooking! I cook better than they do. Well, not all … there was this one lady trained at the Culinary Institute of America. That lady COULD COOK!

I got my first whilst married to Mistake #2!

Totally agree. I've got a 36" gasser (three burners). I bought Grill Grates for 2 of the 3 sections when they started to go. I use one section in standard (grates up) position and another section flipped. You'll never look back!

kingdarb you can take measurements of you gasser and go to GrillGrates.com and order them. That's what I did or you can call them.

GG's, don't leave home without them. I placed 3 on top of my Weber Genesis B's stainless grates. My SS grates are still good after 14 years, but the GG's rock!

I replaced my Genesis E330 fully with grillgrates. Definitely worth it. I think they will move around too much if you just place them on top. In 3-4 months I think I've seen flare ups with them only 2 or 3 times. For Weber gassers they should have the right size already cut for order.

All Hail Grill Grates. Totally replaced SS grates on my Kitchenaid gas. Look "grate" and work "Grate". Evened out heat and lots more of it. The folks at GG. SENT EXACTLY THE RIGHT SIZE TOO. I am 100% sure that this is the best way to upgrade a cheap grill into a well balanced powerhouse. Don't know why grill manufacturers don't put them on as original equipment.
