I bought a vintage Atlas spun steel wok from the thrift. It needs an overhaul. I wish it had a helper handle. It mostly just needs a light cleaning and seasoning. I am not sure it was ever cooked in.

Strolling through Grocery Outlet yesterday I came across a Gibson Home brand 14" carbon steel wok for $15 bucks. I couldn't find any info on thickness gauge, but it feels sturdy and hefty. They retail from $35 - $50 so at least I seemed to have gotten a deal. It's pre-seasoned, but I'll still go through the bluing process. Thank you, everyone, for your feedback and guidance! And yes, that is a shameless plug for 58limited 's Texas Dave's Heavenly Hatch hot sauce. Get some while supplies last!!

I have one similar to ecowper. I also was given a Made In carbon steel wok which I have really enjoyed cooking on too as it is quite light also.
