Guys, the Grill Armor Waterproof Gloves are INCREDIBLE. I do a lot of whole acorn squash, maybe one every couple weeks, and those are HOT; I’ve been holding them with tongs and scooping the insides with a spoon. But now I just hold the half squash in one hand, using the gloves. They are GREAT.
Half Bad No. I cut them in half, scoop the seeds out, and poke a few hundred holes in the flesh with a fork. Then I paint them with melted butter and olive oil mixed, and sprinkle with SPG and dried herbs (fines herbes, herbes de provence, or Italian seasoning), or fresh garden herbs (parsley sage rosemary thyme). Then I roast at 400° for an hour. But they’re still really hot when scooping time comes!

Elton's BBQ We tried to do something like this before, a non-physical product like free membership but the short story is we can't, legally. Even a free membership is a "prize", physical or not, and would fall under the sweepstakes rules of the winner's country, which we then have to pay the fees to operate a sweepstakes in each country. The longer story is we cannot legally charge for entry into a "sweepstakes" in the US, therefore we cannot even discount overseas members' fees, [continued..]
[...continued] because that would then make us charging more for US members and their eligibility for the sweepstakes, which would be illegal. Laws are often a nuisance and sometimes make very little sense, but alas we have to follow them, big or small.

My gloves are the leather ones with long sleeves that MH recommends and they are pretty good. I think these gloves look pretty great too. I guess I can add them to my list when I need new ones, but I am sorta nervous about giving up those long sleeves due to my general propensity to reach across hot grills etc.
Those are some amazing additions! Crazy thing is given our tax situation this year, I would prefer to wait until 2024 to win. But once that hits, I would love to win these!
We once had a member [politely] refuse the Grand Prize because he didn't want to pay the taxes. It's a definite concern of some. Me, I'd still consider a couple hunnit for a $1,800 grill a win!
I think in typical years I wouldn’t be as worried about taxes, but with dumping a bunch of my 401k to buy a house, paying for private school based on my family income and major job changes, I would rather not add another reason to need to pay more taxes or tuition for my kids. I would definitely trade down to 2nd or third as has been done in the past!

Huskee It kind of depends what tax bracket you're in, how much you're going to have to pay. I don't know how much J-Melt needed to withdraw for his house, but I was in that situation a few years ago. Hopefully he's not in the situation I was, where the firm handling the funds did not withhold NEARLY enough. Probably because like me, they didn't realize what tax bracket it was going to push me into. Last year wasn't as bad, and I still figured the grill was still a deal even with taxes.
